TridentList is an online service that allows you to keep in touch with your customers,
members or web site visitors by helping you to run your own e-mail newsletter.
Benefits of using TridentList:
Fully automatic list management
A very important aspect of running an e-mail newsletter is the handling of
subscription and removal requests. People who wish to subscribe to your newsletter
need to be added to the mailing list and people who wish to unsubscribe need to be removed.
Doing this manually is a very repetitive task that is both time consuming and error-prone.
TridentList automatically handles all subscription and removal requests, saving you from having to
do this manually. What's more, because the process is automatic, requests are processed in minutes so
a person who requests to be subscribed to (or removed from) your mailing list will receive a confirmation
e-mail very quickly.
Quick and easy delivery of e-mails
TridentList takes care of delivering your e-mail newsletter, making the process quick, easy and reliable.
You can compose the e-mail newsletter using your normal e-mail program (or web-based e-mail service), just like
you would compose any other e-mail. You then send your newsletter to a special TridentList e-mail address
and TridentList takes care of delivering it to all your subscribers.
The delivery is quick, with most e-mails sent out to all subscribers in a matter of a few minutes.
And security features are in place to prevent an unauthorized person from sending an e-mail to your mailing list.
Personalized e-mails
With the growing volume of SPAM, it is all too easy for your e-mail newsletter
to be lost among mountains of junk mail or even be mistakenly deleted by SPAM filters. This
is why all e-mails sent via TridentList are individually-addressed and can be personalized for each
subscriber.
When your subscriber receives your newsletter (sent via TridentList), each subscriber will see
their own e-mail address in the To: field. And if the person specified his or her name when subscribing,
this name can also appear in the To: field. And what's more, TridentList allows you
to mention the subscriber's name and e-mail address in the body of the e-mail. All this not only makes
your newsletter look much more professional, but makes it far more likely that it will be read.
Automatic handling of undeliverable e-mails
A valid e-mail address can become undeliverable for a variety of reasons, some temporary (such as exceeding mail quota,
or temporary mail problems), others permanent (e-mail account deletion).
When running an e-mail newsletter manually, the undeliverable e-mails can be a real problem. Not only
do undeliverable reports clog-up your inbox, you have to do something about them - manually remove
"dead" e-mail addresses from your mailing list.
TridentList takes care of this problem. Each time you send out a newsletter, TridentList
will automatically process
all undeliverable e-mails, deleting an e-mail address from the list if several e-mails sent to that
address bounced back. This allows for temporary delivery problems with a
particular e-mail but ensures that
permanently undeliverable e-mail addresses are removed.
A web site for your mailing list
TridentList provides you with a web site for your mailing list / newsletter (you can see a sample
at
www.sample.tridentlist.com). Your subscribers
can use this web site to add themselves to (or unsubscribe from) your mailing list.
TridentList allows you to completely customize the list web site to suit your requirements and
match the design and look of your main web site (an example of a customized list web site can be found at
www.powerzip.tridentlist.com).
Of course, you don't have to use the TridentList-provided web site for your mailing list.
You can also place the subscription / removal pages on your own web site or you can have your subscribers
add or remove themselves via e-mail rather than through the web.
Double opt-in verification
TridentList uses double opt-in verification to ensure that only valid e-mail addresses can be
subscribed and that only the owner of the e-mail address can subscribe that e-mail address to your mailing
list (i.e. that person A cannot add person B's e-mail address to your mailing list without
person B's consent).
Double opt-in verification works by sending a confirmation request e-mail to the e-mail address
for which a subscription has been requested. The confirmation request e-mail contains a unique number
and asks the subscriber to confirm his or her subscription by replying to the e-mail. When the reply
is received, the person becomes subscribed.
This system saves you money by preventing non-existent e-mail addresses from being added to
your mailing list. More importantly, double opt-in is the industry best practice that
ensures that every single subscriber genuinely requested to be subscribed, thus preventing
any potential allegations of spamming.
Message archive
For your convenience, TridentList stores all e-mails you sent to your mailing
list for the past year (or longer if requested) and lets you to view them or
have a copy sent to you. This allows you to access your old newsletter if you need to.
Subscriber statistics
TridentList can display subscriber statistics, allowing you to see the number of
subscription requests in a chosen date range. Daily, weekly and monthly break-downs are available.

TridentList is not a SPAM service
Unsolicited commercial e-mail, also known as junk mail or SPAM is hated by Internet users worldwide.
This includes the so called "opt-out" e-mails - unsolicited e-mails that claim
to provide an "opt-out" (removal) link.
Trident Software is vehemently opposed to SPAM of any kind. TridentList cannot be used
to send unsolicited bulk e-mail. All mailing lists managed by TridentList are 100% opt-in.
This means that a person will only ever receive e-mails from a TridentList-managed mailing
list if that person explicitly consented to receiving this information by subscribing to the mailing list.
TridentList is not a list rental service
TridentList is a service that enables you to run and maintain your own opt-in e-mail
mailing list.
Trident Software does not sell or rent any mailing lists.
How much does it cost?
The charges
consist of a small list management fee (less than $5 per month)
and a fee for e-mail delivery ($5 for every 1000 e-mails). You will get a discount
if you purchase $20+ worth of points at a time. Please click here
